With work experience in consultancy, as a manager at multinationals and the central government, I speak the language of the business world. I easily switch between strategic issues and the daily practice of leadership, collaboration and talent development.

Way of working

I am an experienced psychologist and coach who guides individuals and teams in realizing concrete behavioral change, performance improvement and career reorientation. With my specialization in developmental psychology and test psychology, I combine a scientific basis with a very practical, goal-oriented approach.

I do so, based on the principles of cognitive behavioral coaching, in which systematic self-reflection is central. I help professionals to gain insight into their talent, their behavior, the underlying motives and emotions, and the way they are perceived and experienced by others. Based on this awareness, I guide professionals in their personal development and in experimenting with new behavior, aimed at strengthening their effectiveness in every day professional practice. Always with attention to the context of the organization and the objectives of the client.

Desiree Buskens is an experienced Health Care psychologist (MSc), psychotherapist and coach with a strong focus on guiding professionals and teams in their personal development and mutual relationships. With her in-depth knowledge of group dynamics, emotion- and experiential coaching and (neuro)psychological diagnostics, she quickly reveals underlying patterns and sensitivities in teams and individuals.

Desiree creates a safe, empathetic environment where people can open up, gain insights and make lasting changes. Her working method is warm and confrontational at the same time; she dares to be tough to stimulate growth. She works with proven methodologies such as Emotion-Focused Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema-Focussed Therapy and uses insights from group dynamics.
